Mogadishu (SONNA)-The Federal Republic of Somalia is on Tuesday expected to refute sensitive and so-called Memorandum of Understanding between Somaliland and Ethiopian Government over maritime access which is against the sovereignty of Somali territory.
The MoU outlined that the Somaliland, northwest of Somalia Exchanged 20KM Sea For Recognition From Ethiopia, a violation against sovereign State by our neighboring country, Ethiopia.
Former and current Somali leaders including Prime Ministers, Presidents and Ministers and the Public as well, firmly condemned the actions of Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed and Muse Bihi Abdi yesterday.
“🇸🇴 is indivisible! It’s sovereignty & territorial integrity is uncompromisable. 🇪🇹knows well that it can’t sign a military pact/MOU to lease a port with regional head of state- that mandate is the prerogative of the FGS. 🇪🇹has no carte Blanche to violate our territorial integrity”, The Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources said on X.
However, Somalia’s cabinet held an extra-ordinary meeting over this today and providing media briefing at moment.
