MOGADISHU, SONNA – Officials from Banadir Region, Mogadishu, and the Ministry of Information inspected the severely damaged road from Dab-ka Intersection to Bakaraha Intersection, a consequence of the recent El-Nino rains in the capital.

Mogadishu Mayor Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madale), accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Information Abdirahman Yusuf Al-Adalah, received a report from the governors of Hodan and Howlwadaag districts outlining ongoing repair efforts. The governors assured the officials that a comprehensive plan to rebuild the road is nearing completion.

Mayor Jimale urged the district administrations to expedite their efforts, emphasizing the road’s critical role in connecting the Bakara market, a vital hub of commercial activity. The road’s restoration is essential for the smooth flow of goods and services, supporting the local economy and livelihoods.

The inspection and subsequent discussions underscore the commitment of local authorities to address the infrastructure challenges caused by the El-Nino rains and restore normalcy to the city. The swift repair of the Dab-ka Intersection to Bakaraha Intersection will alleviate traffic congestion, facilitate business operations, and enhance the overall well-being of Mogadishu residents.
