Mogadishu, SONNA – The 74th anniversary of the Chinese National Day was marked by a special ceremony in Mogadishu, attended by the Speaker of the Somali Parliament, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Noor (Madobobe), several Ministers and MPs, and representatives of the international community.
The event was hosted by the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Fei Shengchao, who delivered a speech highlighting the significance of this day for China and its relations with Africa. He said that China values its friendship with Africa and is committed to enhancing its cooperation with Somalia in various fields.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Madobobe, expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their support to African countries, especially Somalia. He praised China’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region and the world.
The ceremony also featured cultural performances and a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion. The attendees exchanged greetings and wishes for the prosperity of both countries.
