Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of the Federal Government of Somalia, HE Mohamud Abdirahman Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene) and the Minister of Finance, HE Bihi Iman Egeh signed a Development Objective Assistance Agreement (DOAG) agreement worth 92.6 million dollars with the United States of America.
“This morning I co-signed the new Development Objective Assistance Agreement which is $92.6 million USD of additional financing for enabling development projects with Hon Beenebeene and USAID Somalia. This is valuable support which comes at a critical time for Somalia”, Minister Bihi said.
This agreement that was signed by the two Ministers said that is based on the historical relations between the two countries and the building of a strong, stable and developed Somalia that has common interests with the USA.
The agreement signed by the two nations indicates the strong bond of relationship between Somalia and the USA.

Today, the United States, Minister Mohamud Abdirahman Sheikh Farah ‘Beene-Beene’ and Minister Bihi Iman Egeh signed an important agreement for $92.6M towards development efforts”, US Embassy Charge d’Affaires Shane Dixon said in a post in X formally known as Twitter.
He also said that he is honored to stand alongside Minister BeeneBeene and Minister Bihi Egeh to sign an important assistance agreement for $92.6M in USAID Somalia development funds. This agreement builds upon 17 years of U.S. development assistance to Somalia, our joint vision for resilience, and our shared commitment to a prosperous future.
