20 Al-Shabaab Members Killed in a Joint Operation in Hirshabelle State

SONNA Breaking News

Shaw, (SONNA)-: Somali National Army and international partners, In a joint operation over 20 members of the Kharijites (AS) militia were killed in Shaw area of Hiran region.

The operation targeted a minibus transporting the terrorists, some of whom had escaped from a previous operation in Adalle village under the Mahaday district in the Middle Shabelle region.

Somalia’s National Armed forces, local forces, and international partners have dealt a heavy blow to Al-Shabaab terrorists with links to al-Qaeda. In a series of successful military operations, Over the past 24 hours, targeted operations in several regions have resulted in the killing of 150 militants, including 20 Kharijites (AS) members in Hiran region.

These successful operations demonstrate the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Somalia’s citizens and highlight ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the country.
