Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somalia’s joint task forces conducted house to house search operation aimed at to ensure the security in Garbaharey town in Gedo region ahead of House of the people election there, SONNA reported Sunday.
Army commander, Warfa Sheikh Aden said that the forces arrested some people during the operation, but they were released later after the investigation, saying they are going to eliminate terrorist militant group of Al-Shabaab from the region.
The operation is part of the continued fight against the militants in the country.
