Somali embassies in India, Kenya, Turkey to suspend their functions due to coronavirus

Mogadishu (SONNA):-The Somali Embassies in India, Kenya and Turkey announced on Monday that they are temporarily suspending their functions due to Corona virus from March 23rd and 24th respectively, SONNA reported.

Somali Ambassador to India, Fadumo Abdullahi Insaniya said that they suspended the work for the two weeks ahead, calling for the Somali communities there to be very careful about the spreading virus in the world.

The Somali embassy in Kenya took the same decision following the rise of Corona-virus cases in Kenya.

In Ankara, The Somali Ambassador to Turkey, Jama’ Abdullahi stated that the embassy stopped it’s functions until the situation would normalize, informing Somali people in Turkey to stay home.

The Pandemic Coronavirus is spreading too fast and It has killed over 16,318 people, and infected to more than 373,497 others globally so far. The fear of the virus is where now.
