Mogadishu(SONNA)-On the beautiful afternoon of March 05, 2020, The Danab Commandos celebrated the graduation of more than 80 new members to this elite fighting force. Armed with new tactical and technical skills, these young Soldiers and Sergeants marching proudly across the parade ground represent the increasing professionalism and tactical ability of the Danab.
The new commandos will fill significant roles as mission planners, trainers, and logistics experts on the Danab battalion and brigade staffs. Like any successful professional organization, planning, resourcing, and visualizing are essential tasks in the execution of its operations.
The Danab units are advised by the most efficient military planners and architects of the United States Special Operations Forces.
With support from its most trusted United States partners, the Federal Government of Somalia continues to take significant steps to establish peace, prosperity, and security to the great people of Somalia.
This elite group will serve their respective Danab units at the headquarters’ level, where they will provide expert support to their commanders.
Their integration into the units’ operations including planning, resourcing, visualizing and the facilitation of training that disrupt, deter, and defeat adversaries at all level of the military spectrum including analysis of adversaries propaganda, messaging dissemination, and countering terrorists groups and other enemies’ narratives.
In sharp contrast with the coward’s terrorists Al-Shabaab, the Danab are trusted leaders who are transparent in their actions and the information they convey to the Somali populace.
The acquisition of these additional skills will further allow the Danab to accomplish their missions with greater success against the al-Qaeda affiliated group Al-Shabaab.
The recent operation, such as the one at Ceel Salini, where they defeated a group of 30 al-Shabaab terrorists attempted to overrun the base.
These great men and women will empower this generation to rid Somalia of Al-Shabaab and deliver the long-awaited peace, security, and prosperity the Somali people deserve.
