Istanbul (SONNA)-Around 20 African Journalists arrived Istanbul to Attend African Media Representative Training Program (AFMED ) which kicked off on Tuesday.
AFMED is a short-term training program for early and mid-career professionals in the media sector. AFMED program is organized by Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) in cooperation with the African Researchers Association (AFAM), African Coordination and Training Center (AKEM) and Anadolu Agency (AA).
AFMED program aims to enhance cooperation between Turkey and African countries by supporting experience sharing in the field of media.
Abdishakur Ali Ahmed and Naima Abdirahman Moalim Ablaal are representing Somalia in this Training.
The training began today after yesterday’s opening ceremony, will continue for coming three weeks (October 22 to 12 November 2019). this knowledge sharing-based seminars and courses, AFMED also will provide journalists opportunity to empower cultural interaction through additional cultural events and city tours stated Organizers.
Journalists from Africa also attended the TRT Forum held in Istanbul 21 to 22 October 2019 which focused globalization Retreat Challenges and Opportunities invited high level delegate’s from different countries of world.
