Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Director General of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia H.E Abdullahi Hayir Du’ale opened a training on how to report sexual harassments and ways to manage those cases that occur in Somalia for journalists on Tuesday.
The event was organised by the Media for Women Network (MWN) in support of the United Nations in Somalia. A list of 40 individuals from different media outlets are taking advantage of the event.
They are going to study ways to broadcast information on sexual assaults, while protecting the safety of the journalists, the dignity of the victims and the laws of the land.
