Khartoum (SONNA):-The Sudanese Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that it was closely following the situations of the citizens stranded abroad, due to the precautionary measures taken by several countries to prevent the coronavirus spread, including sealing off borders.
Sudan News Agency (SUNA) quoted a reliable source as saying that the ministry is following the situations of the Sudanese nationals stuck in a number of countries that have closed their borders, to find solutions to their sufferings.
The foreign ministry is in contact with the concerned authorities for coordination and addressing the issue, the same source added.
Sudan’s Security and Defense Council, chaired by Head of the Sovereign Council Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan declared on Monday a state of public health emergency in the country to face any possible COVID-19 infection.
