Baydhabo, (SONNA): The State Minister of Transport and Aviation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdikarim Abdow Haydar, conducted an inspection of Baidoa Airport today. Accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Aviation, and the Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation of the Southwest Administration of Somalia (KGS), Minister Haydar closely observed the work procedures of airport and air traffic control center operators.
Minister Haydar emphasized that such inspections are a crucial duty of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, aiming to enhance aviation services and develop airports throughout the country. He highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Ministries of Transport and Aviation at both federal and regional levels, which aligns with the priorities of the Somali government.
During his visit, Minister Haydar commended the progress and collaboration achieved by the Southwest community in infrastructure development, particularly the advancements at Shati Gaduud Airport and the operational efficiency of the aviation center. He praised the leaders and staff of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation in the Southwest Administration for their commendable efforts.
The Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Federal Government of Somalia remains committed to fulfilling its obligations and is planning to develop aviation centers across the country to further enhance the nation’s aviation infrastructure.
