Mogadishu, Somalia – In a recent national media round table, Somalia’s Interior Minister, Ali Yusuf Ali, emphasized the constitutional necessity of holding a one man one vote election in the country. The Minister highlighted that this electoral process is a fundamental issue that cannot be overlooked.
Minister Ali Yusuf Ali reported that three key legislations for the Elections and Boundaries Committee have been completed, including those pertaining to political parties and the electoral commission. He stressed the importance of implementing the government’s electoral goals to ensure a fair and democratic process.
Acknowledging the progress made, the Interior Minister noted that the government’s efforts to hold elections are on the right track. He mentioned that significant changes have been made to improve the constitution, further facilitating the electoral process.
