Mogadishu(SONNA): Somalia’s envoy heads to the Hague to attend the public hearing of the Maritime dispute case between Somalia and Kenya today on monday,SONNA reported.
A delegation led by FGS Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi M. Gulaid has left for S-Gravenhage (The Hague) in the Netherlands, where the Kenyan maritime case is set to begin on March 15.
The delegation was sent by the Federal Government of Somalia to The Hague to demonstrate the commitment of the Somali government to the Somali people to preserve the unity of their land and property, in accordance with international law.
National Prosecutor Suleiman Mohamed Mohamud and other legal experts are among the delegation.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has rejected a request from Kenya to postpone the trial.
