Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Daud Aweis Jama engaged in a productive meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tanzania, January Makamba in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania.
The two Minister discussed issues of mutual interest, focusing on enhancing the bilateral relation between the two nations, particularly within the East African Community (EAC).
Tanzania reaffirmed its unwavering support to the people and Government of Somalia and supports our sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Minister Aweis conveyed Somalia’s appreciation for Tanzania’s support in the diplomatic arena, including backing Somalia’s entry into the EAC and endorsing its sole candidacy for a non-permanent seat at the UNSC.
“I engaged in productive talks with Tanzania’s Foreign Minister, January Makamba, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties between our nations, especially within the EAC. Tanzania reaffirmed its unwavering support for Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Minister Daud said.
