Nairobi, (SONNA) — The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia participated in the Implementation Support Mission for BOOST YOU (Baxnaano) in Nairobi, a week-long engagement to accelerate implementation and strengthen coordination with partners.
The mission was officially opened by H.E. Prof. Salim Aliyow Ibrow, Minister of Labour & Social Affairs.
Participants included World Bank TTL Ali Qureshi, WFP representatives, and Baxnaano Program Manager Fardosa Ahmed, who highlighted the program’s importance to both the Government and the people of Somalia.
The Director General of the Ministry, Mohamed Saney Dalmar, commended the progress achieved over the years and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to sustaining and strengthening the program.
The Director of Social Affairs, Suhayb Dek Mahamoud, and senior advisors also shared key insights on improving social protection services.
