Bern, (SONNA) – The State Minister of the Ministry of Communication and Technology of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ahmed Osman Diriye attended the annual Universal Postal Union (UPU) meeting in Switzerland.
The Minister met with the heads of the UPU at the headquarters in Bern, Switzerland to discuss on the revival of the Somali membership in the union in order to return the postal code of the country.
The Minister and the members of the UPU agreed to clear the debt of $1 million which Somalia owed and assist in the reactivation of the Somali post office.
