Mogadishu (SONNA): In a press conference held in Mogadishu, Somali religious scholars have called upon the nation to defend itself against what they describe as aggression from Ethiopia. The scholars emphasized the importance of unity and vigilance in protecting both the country’s sovereignty and religious values.
During the conference, the scholars issued a statement highlighting several key points:
- Strengthening National Unity: The scholars stressed the need for the Somali nation to come together and reinforce their unity.
- Societal Cohesion: They urged all segments of society to unite in defense of the country and to avoid actions that could lead to division and discord.
- Combating Misinformation: The scholars warned against individuals who incite the community and spread false information to mislead the public.
In their concluding remarks, the religious scholars called on all Somalis to stand firm in defending their country against any external threats, including those from Ethiopia, and any other entities with malicious intentions.
