Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud has on Tuesday travelled to Ankara, Turkey after receiving an official invitation from his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayipp Erdogan.
The sisterly country, Turkey was engaged in efforts to holding talks aimed at easing the conflict between Somalia and Ethiopia in Ankara after Ethiopia entered an illegal Memorandum of Understanding with Somaliland on January 1st this year.
Somali President Hassan Sh. Mohamud and Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed together with delegations will resume the third round of such talks to find solution to the issue.
The Somali Government is committed to its stance on safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
