Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble met Alice Albright, Director of Global Partnership for Education during the The two-day summit that focused on supporting education programs around the world.
Both sides presented 5-year strategic plan on advancing Somali education programs.
The minister of the education, Abdullahi Abukar Hajji said the main focus of their meeting with the director of Global partnership was to secure funds to boost the education sector in Somalia.
Somali made progress in the education sector including the adoption of a national curriculum and the administering of national exams.
The Global Education Summit aims to raise $5 billion to educate children across the developing world over the next five years.
