Mogadishu, [SONNA] Members of both Houses of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia convened under the leadership of the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Saadiya Yasin Haji Samatar. The second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives and the deputy speakers of the Upper House were also present during the deliberations.
The primary agenda of the meeting centered around the audit of the financial year 2022, a report submitted by the Ministry of Finance of Somalia. After thorough discussions and considerations, members from both Houses collectively passed the audit for the fiscal year 2022. The first deputy speaker, presiding over the session, announced that 177 members voted in favor, with one member opposing and another remaining silent on the matter.
