Somali National Army Conducts Planned Operations in Bakool Region to Counter Khawaarij

Huddur, Bakool Region, Somalia – The Somali National Army’s 9th brigade, part of the 60th division, executed meticulously planned operations in the northern areas of Huddur, Bakool region in a strategic move to enhance security and maintain stability. The primary objective was to dismantle a roadblock established by Khawarij militiamen along the route connecting Qurajoome and Hudur town.

Under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Ili Adan Isaaq, the 9th Battalion demonstrated precision and determination. The entire battalion, led by Commander Aden Gaabow Isaaq, engaged in the operation, targeting extremist elements that posed a threat to local communities and disrupted essential transportation routes.

The operation reflects the Somali Armed Forces’ commitment to safeguarding citizens and countering extremist activities. As the nation continues its efforts to combat insecurity, such operations play a crucial role in maintaining peace and protecting civilians from harm.
