Mogadishu, SONNA — The Speaker of Somalia’s Parliament, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), Acting Prime Minister Salah Jama, ministers, MPs, and foreign ambassadors participated in the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Somalia.
In his speech, Speaker Madobe congratulated China on its anniversary and praised its progress. He emphasized China’s unwavering support for Somalia, especially during the country’s difficult times, stating that Somalia will not forget China’s assistance.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama highlighted the strong historical ties between Somalia and China, stressing cooperation in business, economy, and culture. He acknowledged China’s key role in Somalia’s infrastructure development, particularly in energy, health, and education, and pointed to future collaborations in defense, technology, and professional training.
Chinese Ambassador Wang Yu also reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening the relationship between the two nations, thanking the attendees for their participation.
