Mogadishu, March 05, 2024 – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Isaak Mohamud Mursal, received on Tuesday in his office at the Ministry in the capital, Mogadishu, H.E. Dr. Suresh Kumar M. , Joint Secretary (JS) of the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) Division at the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India, where he discussed with him the enhancing of bilateral relations and joint cooperation.
The meeting underscored the mutual significance of strengthening commercial, educational, and cultural ties between the two friendly nations, with a focus on providing capacity-building trainings to Somali government institutions. Moreover, talks revolved around simplifying visa procedures for Somali citizens in need of medical treatment in India, including considering the reopening of the Indian diplomatic mission in Mogadishu to facilitate these processes efficiently.
