Cairo (SONNA) – Somali Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative of the League of Arab States Ambassador Ilyas Sheikh Omar has welcomed the Chairman of the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission Lawyer Mohamed Hussein Hamud to Egypt.
The Ambassador briefed the Chairman in detail on the information and services provided by the embassy, and presented the transparent process of the Somali Community in Egypt.
Meanwhile, the Chairman briefed the Ambassador on the agenda of the International Anti-Corruption Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh and commended Ambassador Ilyas Sheikh Omar for his work and rapid progress at the embassy. He said the ambassador’s efforts are based on professionalism, good governance and service to the Somali community in Egypt.
Finally, the Chairperson urged the diplomats at the embassy to show hospitality to the community, saying that he was a witness to their good work for the nation.
