Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) is responding to the recent drought by delivering humanitarian aid, including food, to Laascaanod, the capital of Sool. This initiative aims to alleviate the drought’s impact on affected communities.
The administration of SSC-Khatumo received this donation, which is set to benefit approximately 20,000 families residing in the city and its surrounding areas.
Commissioner Mahamud Moallim urged the Somali community to come together and support those vulnerable communities impacted by the drought. Additionally, the Commissioner expressed sincere gratitude to the Chinese government for their generous relief donations to the country.
