Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalan Abdi Ali, presided over the handover ceremony at the Ministry of Youth and Sports between outgoing Minister H.E. Mohamed Barre and incoming Minister H.E. Mohamed Abdulkadir Ali.
In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister urged the new minister to enhance services provided to Somali youth and the sports sector while commending the outgoing minister for his efforts in strengthening the ministry during his tenure.
He also called on Somali youth to double their efforts in supporting the fight against Khawarij militants and participating in the country’s upcoming one-person, one-vote elections.
