Mogadishu, (SONNA) – As the East African Community Conference in Mogadishu goes to its second day, Jacinta Kiruthi, who is the Chief Executive of Trade and Customs of the EAC discussed about the effects of Climate Change in the Horn and in Somalia.
The meeting aims to transform challenges into opportunities and pave the way for a more interwoven, inclusive, and prosperous East Africa.
“A deeper understanding of climate change impacts is required, and priorities to inform the integration of climate considerations into development. At regional level, research initiatives to strengthen capacity to generate, disseminate, and use climate data and information has received significant emphasis. As initiatives proliferate through the region, coordination will become increasingly important”, Mrs. Jacinta said.
