Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud vowed that the government will build a National Library for the late Professor Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari.

“We will build a National Library in the name of our former Speaker, Professor Jawari so that we remember it by him, and the Minister of Education is responsible in making sure of the building of the library,” the President said.

The President who attended an event commemorating the first president of Somalia, Aden Abdulle Osman pointed out the importance it is to have a place to write the names of those who sacrificed their lives, energy and resources for our country so that the coming generations can remember them.

“Whoever comes through the Aden Adde International Airport asks themselves what the name means, same should apply on the Jawari Library, the people in and outside our country should acknowledge the names of the people who sacrifed for this country,” President Hassan added.
