Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H. E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud signed a law nullifying the MoU agreement between Ethiopia and Somaliland.
The President praised the Parliament for protecting Somalia’s sovereignty. He emphasised that this law represents our official stance and acts as a strong deterrent against any trespassing on Somali territory.
“This evening,I signed the law nullifying the illegal MoU between the Government of Ethiopia and Somaliland. With the support of our lawmakers and our people, this law is an illustration of our commitment to safeguard our unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity as per international law,” President Mohamud said.
