Mogadishu, Somalia – President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud hosted a special meeting with prominent Somali youth leaders at the National Presidency in Mogadishu.
During the meeting, President Mohamud provided a comprehensive overview of the current state of the nation, emphasizing the government’s commitment to defending the unity and independence of Somalia. He highlighted the notable achievements in the ongoing efforts to eradicate the Khawarij and the strides made in establishing a stable Somali government.
The youth leaders presented detailed reports on the various opportunities and challenges faced by Somali youth, sharing their perspectives on the country’s leadership. President Mohamud attentively listened to their concerns and suggestions, underscoring the importance of youth involvement in national development.
In his address, President Mohamud outlined the government’s strategic plan for youth development, focusing on job creation and fostering stronger ties between the youth and the government. He assured the young leaders of the administration’s dedication to supporting their aspirations and addressing their challenges.
The meeting also saw the participation of Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin, Commander of the Armed Forces, who reiterated the military’s role in ensuring national security and supporting the government’s initiatives.
