Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud laid the foundation stone for a grand real estate project named ‘Xeebta-luulka’ meaning Diamond Beach, which was invested by the the Somali entrepreneurs.
The project consists of residential houses that can accommodate 50,000 people, with amenities such as multiple business complexes, schools, health centers, mosques, and leisure centers.
“The construction of this neighborhood is the beginning of a new Somalia that is reshaping its government and competing with the world. “Somali businessmen should trust their country and stand by the government by paying their due taxes, so that we can recover from the problems we have suffered,” the President said.
President Mohamud thanked the businessmen for investing in their country and bringing projects that are meaningful to the Somali people, and he also urged them to support their government so that we reach an era of self reliance.
