Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre delivered a powerful speech today at the launch of a national task force on immunisation, polio eradication, and child survival.

Promising unwavering support, PM Barre emphasised the government’s commitment to overseeing efforts in polio eradication and routine immunisation.

He pledged to mobilise backing for the implementation of Somalia’s emergency action plan against polio transmission, aiming to shield children from this disease.

PM Barre urged for a comprehensive strategy to address broader health challenges that contribute child mortality and illnesses, stating that the journey doesn’t stop at polio eradication.
