Mogadishu (SONNA) – In the wake of a harrowing incident in the El-Baraf district of the Middle Shabelle region, the Somali National Army has launched joint operations to apprehend those responsible for the killing of national army soldiers.

Today, the forces successfully arrested several district administration officials in El-Baraf, including the governor, traditional elders, and other suspects allegedly linked to the tragic event. This decisive action underscores the government’s commitment to justice and accountability.

According to the officers leading the operation, the detained individuals will face due process to ensure justice is served. The Ministry of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia has previously declared that those involved in this heinous act will be brought to justice within 48 hours. A stern warning has been issued to anyone attempting to obscure the truth behind the killing of Somali National Army soldiers in El-Baraf.

In a related move, the Hirshabelle administration has suspended operations within the El-Baraf district administration as a response to the tragic incident.

This swift and coordinated response highlights the government’s dedication to upholding the law and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
