Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Ports and Transport of the Federal Government of Somalia, HE Abdullahi Ahmed Jama met with his Saudi counterpart in Jeddah on the sidelines of the Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference (SMIC).
Discussions centered around ways to boost cooperation in the development and economic fields, as well as investment opportunities in public and private sectors, with the aim of strengthening partnerships and employing innovation and modern technologies to create a sustainable maritime industry.
Minister Abdullahi Ahmed received an official invitation from the Minister of Transport and Logistics Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The minister is expected to deliver a speech at the conference and have sideline meetings with several other Ministers.
