Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Bihi Iman Igeh chaired the Financial Governance Committee meeting, and was joined by the officials from the government and partners who support Somalia’s financial development.
The meeting focused on the improvements of the income and financial laws of the country such as the Public Finance Management (PFM) the meeting was also attended today by the Minister of Petroleum, Mr. Dahir Shire Mohamed, who gave a general report on the Government’s efforts to improve oil production and how it can take an important part in the domestic revenue.
This meeting, which is the basis of the country’s financial efficiency and the government’s commitment to develop the country’s economy, was attended by representatives of the World Bank, the IMF, the European Union and the country’s top offices such as the Office of the President, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Heads of the Central Bank and the Development Bank of the country.
