Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Family and Human Rights of the Federal Government of Somalia, Amb. Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, has visited Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers who were wounded in recent front-line battles. The minister delivered vital aid to those receiving treatment at the SNA Hospital in Mogadishu.
During her visit, Minister Al-Makhzoumi praised the soldiers’ courage and sacrifice in defending the nation, expressing deep gratitude for their commitment. She wished them a swift recovery, emphasizing that they deserve the utmost care and support for their bravery.
The visit is part of the Somali Women’s Week campaign, which sees the Ministry providing various forms of assistance to different groups within the community. The minister was accompanied by the Director-General of the Ministry, Mohamed Bashir Omar, and Jawaahir Baarqab, the Chairperson of the Banadir Women’s Association, who leads the campaign.
This effort underscores the government’s commitment to supporting its wounded soldiers and showing appreciation for their sacrifices in securing national peace and stability.
