Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Abdikadir Mohamed Nur (Jama) joined Ambassador Larry Andre in signing the Joint Statement of Objectives to Build Somalia National Armed Forces Danab Brigade.
The Federal Government of Somalia with its United States Government partners in the joint statement reaffirm their commitment to build the Somali National Armed Force’s Danab to fight against Al-shabaab.
The common goal is to train and equip Danab to respond to immediate threats and to build Somalia’s Security Force capacity to progressively take more responsibility for force development, operations and sustainment. Somalia is keen to ensure the longterm sustainability of Danab.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to the USG and their people for their support to the government and the people of Somalia.
