Mogadishu, SONNA — On Tuesday afternoon, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with H.E. Mr. Steen Sonne Andersen, the Danish Ambassador to Somalia, at the Ministry. Their discussions centered on recent comments regarding Somaliland’s elections and the resulting public concerns.
Ambassador Andersen reaffirmed Denmark’s unwavering respect for Somalia’s territorial integrity and unity, emphasizing that Somaliland remains an integral and indivisible part of Somalia.
Both nations reiterated their commitment to working closely on shared priorities, including state-building, addressing climate change, and promoting peace and security. This meeting underscores the strong partnership between Somalia and Denmark, highlighting their collaborative efforts towards mutual goals.
