Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, H.E. Mohamed Ahmed Amir, held a meeting today in his office with the Ambassador of Sudan to Somalia, Mr. Ammar Ahmed Babiker. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration and strengthening the partnership between the two sides. The Deputy Governor for Administration and Finance of Banadir Region, Mr. Ciise Mahamud Guure, was also present during the meeting.

Ambassador Ammar Ahmed Babiker began by congratulating Governor Amir on his new responsibilities, wishing him success in his role and praying for divine guidance. The Ambassador also praised the ongoing development efforts in the capital and pledged Sudan’s Embassy’s support in assisting Banadir Regional Administration with key projects such as improving drainage systems and establishing production industries.

Governor Mohamed Ahmed Amir extended his prayers for the Sudanese people, wishing for the return of peace and stability to Sudan, a nation historically admired for its governance and resilience. He also expressed gratitude for the solidarity shown by the Sudanese people during challenging times faced by Somalis in the past.

In conclusion, Mayor Amir welcomed any initiatives by the Sudanese Embassy aimed at enhancing the aesthetics of Mogadishu, creating job opportunities for youth, and contributing to the overall development of the city.
