Mayor of Mogadishu meets Head of TİKA to discuss city development

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, H.E Mohamed Ahmed Amir, received Mr. Zafer Eşki Head of TİKA’s Somalia operations at his office to discuss accelerating development in Somalia’s capital.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between the city administration and TİKA, focusing on road construction, youth employment initiatives, and vocational training programs.

Both parties underscored the need to expedite ongoing projects and explore new efforts to improve Mogadishu’s infrastructure and economic growth. Mayor Amiir thanked TİKA for its visible role in the capital’s recovery and praised the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting development.

He also emphasized his administration’s determination to ensure that Mogadishu keeps pace with other global cities, further improving the quality of life for its residents.
