Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir and Mayor of Mogadishu, Mohamed Ahmed Amir, convened a critical meeting with leaders from the Somali Chamber of Commerce, Banadir Regional Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of business committees operating in Mogadishu’s markets. The discussions centered on improving tax management and fostering collaboration between businesses and the government.
Key figures in attendance included the Deputy Governor for Administration and Finance of Banadir Region, Isa Mohamud Guure, and the Director-General of Revenue at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Faisal Mohamed Hashi. The meeting provided a platform for the business community and the Ministry of Finance to share reports and recommendations aimed at streamlining tax processes in the region.
Mayor Amir praised the significant role of the business sector in driving economic growth and supporting the government through tax contributions.
