Mogadishu(SONNA)-Fighting between Al-Shabaab militants and Locals on Thursday morning broke out at Jidow area near Warsheikh district in Middle Shabelle region, SONNA reported.
The locals resisted the militants and rejected the terrorists’ intention to take extortion by force during the confrontation according to SONNA.
These people organized and armed themselves, in order, to protect their properties from Al-Shabaab.
The group use the term ‘Zakawat’ an alms while attacking locals having different types of resources.
