Mogadishu(SONNA)-Minister of Justice and Constitution of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E, Hassan Moallim Mohamud attended Africa Prosperity Summit held in Accra, the capital of Ghana west Africa this week.
The Minister said that Somalia would benefit the single market under Africa Continental Free Trade Area, saying that African Ministers of Justice, Constitution and Human rights who attended the summit, discussed the key areas including free trade and its legal frameworks.
The discussions focused on Protocol to the Agreement Establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area on Investment, Competition Policy and Intellectual Property Rights.
“The Pan-African economic platform brought together the great minds and mights of Africa, both in Africa and the Diaspora, to think, plan and work together to expedite the implementation of the agreed initiatives within the AfCFTA and shape the Africa Agenda for Action, we believe that this will be useful for the Somalia as we are active entrepreneurs and business community in the region”, He said.
The Summit brought into practical focus the continent’s critical challenges and industrialization priorities and advance aggressively the commercial and infrastructural interventions to achieve the vision of creating the largest single market in the world of some 1.4 billion Africans.
