Mogadishu (SONNA): The Independent Somali Media House Association (SIMHA) organized a meeting to discuss ensuring information accessiblity and freedom of speach for journalists during the presidential and parliamentary elections in the country,SONNA reported.
The meeting, which was held today in Mogadishu, was attended by the Minister of Information Culture and Tourism H.E Abukar Osman Dubbe, Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission, Mohamed Hassan Arro,Deputy Police Commissioner Somali Police Force Brig. Gen Zakia Hussen, government officials ,representatives and journalist from various media organizations.
On his Part,Minister of Information,Culture and Tourism H.E Osman Abukar Dubbe pointed out the importance of ensuring information accessiblity and freedom of speech for journalists during election period to positively convey accurate and valid information during the country’s election
