Mogadishu, Somalia – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (commonly known as Madaale), recently visited security force units operating on the outskirts of Garasbaaley District in Mogadishu.
During his visit, Mayor Madaale commended the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who put their lives on the line to protect Somali citizens and their property. He specifically acknowledged the four security force members who lost their lives while thwarting an attack involving an explosive-laden vehicle intended to harm civilians. Mayor Madaale assured that the families of these fallen heroes would receive support.
As part of the motivation and recognition efforts, Governor Madaale presented a gift of 20 goats and other equipment to the security forces. This gesture aims to boost morale and raise awareness about the critical role played by the security and marine forces in safeguarding lives and property in Somalia.
The inspection was attended by several officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Security and Politics for Banadir Region, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Diriye (also known as Yabooh), Commander of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Banadir Region, Mr. Abdifatah Shawaeye, and local district commissioners. Their presence underscores the importance of collaboration and coordination among security branches to maintain peace and stability in the region.
