Galmudug Security Minister praises the youth for standing up to Al-Shabaab

Mogadishu (SONNA)-Section of the youth in Galmudug took armed resistance against Al-Shabaab in number of areas and refused to bow to the terror group and allow it to impact their influence. The youth with no support fought fearlessly and drove the terrorists away from their villages, SONNA reported.

The minister for internal security from the federal state of Galmudug Ahmed Moalim Fiqi toured these areas that have shown a true example of resistance, resistance to the terror group Al-Shabaaab. The minister for internal security was accompanied by heads of security agencies in Galmudug including the military commander of the 21st division Gen Khooje, Galmudug police commissioner Gen. Bishaar, and the commander of the special military unit Danab Gen Mukhtar.

The security officials toured the youth in the frontline to motivate them for doing all they can to protect their families and properties and to assure them that Galmudug state is ready to support them. The areas toured include; Tara-Gaduud, Beer Abdi Farax, Galo, Faragoo, Beer Libaan Gaalle, Hog Dhugaag, Higlaale and the officials completed their tour with Gaddon area.

The youth in those areas have organized themselves and have in the recent days engaged with the terror group Al-Shabaab on multiple fronts, driving them away. The youth who call themselves ‘Maawisley’ vowed to stand up to any attack from the group with the minimum resource they have.

The minister and the security officers addressed the youth and praised them for their bravery and selflessness.
