Mogadishu(SONNA):-Foreign Minister Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi took part in the preparatory ministerial meeting for the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh. The summit, held in the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is convened to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression on Palestinian and Lebanese territories, as well as to address the latest regional developments and coordinate joint positions among member states.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha; the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit; and the Foreign Ministers of Arab and Islamic countries.
Also present at the meeting were His Excellency Ambassador Ali Abdi Aware, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League; His Excellency Ambassador Abdulqadir Moalim Nur, Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation; and His Excellency Ambassador Oweis Haji Yusuf, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
