Belgrade, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held talks in Belgrade with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Marko Djuric.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Somalia and Serbia, particularly in the areas of economy, agriculture, construction, and education. The two ministers also reviewed opportunities for advancing joint international projects and reaffirmed their commitment to building strong ties based on mutual interests and longstanding friendship.
Minister Abdisalam emphasized the importance of the talks, stating: “We discussed bilateral relations and international issues, recalling the long-standing friendship between Somalia and Serbia.”
For his part, Minister Djuric stressed Serbia’s pride in its historical ties with Somalia, noting: “Serbia takes pride in its historic relations with Somalia and remains committed to strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.”
