Djibouti Hosts Welcome Dinner for Somali House Speaker and Delegation

DJIBOUTI CITY (SONNA) – November 3, 2026 – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, attended a formal welcome dinner in Djibouti City hosted in his honour and that of his delegation by the President of Djibouti’s National Assembly, Mr. Dileita Mohamed Dileita.

The dinner reflected the deep brotherly ties, mutual respect and longstanding historical relations between Somalia and Djibouti.

Speaker Abdulkadir described the warm reception and gracious hospitality extended to him and his delegation as a reflection of the brotherhood, trust and solidarity between the Somali and Djiboutian peoples, who share a common language, culture, history and destiny.

He noted that such engagements further strengthen relations based on friendship, mutual respect and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
